This week is the week that we have been waiting for for quite some time now. Finally, after many months of waiting, we received two important construction permits for our tiny home village project.
We were granted our ALDOT permit which allows us to begin the main entrance construction. We were also granted our ADEM permit which allows us to begin clearing for the road system. Obtaining these permits was a big hurdle and we are very happy to have them in hand now.
There is still some engineering work to be done and the environmentalist is finishing up our wetlands permit process, but this is a big step in the right direction. Please continue to pray with us for the other aspects of pre-construction work to go smoothly without delays.
Next steps
Some of the next steps will be hiring a construction company to construct the main entrance, the steak-out of the areas to be cleared, clearing and re-seeding, building roads, building the office, etc.
As you can see, there is a lot of work to be done before the first official house is installed. This is because we are taking a completely wooded piece of property and developing it. We have to get to the proper point before the homes can go in.
As God blesses this project financially and in progress, we will move forward. It is important to note that this is a by-faith venture and most of the funds still need to be raised. I'd like to ask you to also be praying about that. By God's grace, we will be underway real soon. We are all excited to be able to have our grand opening in the future and take our ministry to a whole new level.
