Here at Unsheltered, we have been very busy in January due to the extreme cold these past two weeks. We had temps as low as 8 degrees which is pretty cold for us. We also had snow of 2-4 inches which is rare in these parts.
Our food pantry and clothing pantry were bustling due to this uncommon weather. This past Monday alone we were able to serve 92 people, equipping them with warm clothing, blankets, hats and gloves and more. There was a lady at the food pantry who was so broken that she fell into one of our volunteer’s arms crying. She simply held her and cried with her and prayed for her.
Each volunteer strives to make Unsheltered about much more than the tangible help we provide. They look past that and see hurting people who desperately need Jesus.

Something else happened last week that was really awesome. I wrote to you before about Matt, the guy who was living in a tent in the woods, got saved, and is now part of our ministry as a volunteer. We received a call from a gentleman who wanted our help to get into a rehab. Matt went along with Tim to meet this gentleman. Before we knew it, Matt was ministering to him by sharing his testimony! It was such a blessing because Matt could talk to him in such real, vivid terms and assure him that if you will surrender your life to Christ, you can find peace. We are so proud of Matt and where God has brought him from.
